This modular pen holder has completely changed how I organize my desk. It’s not just practical, it’s something I actually enjoy seeing and using every day. With a mix of clean geometry and traditional Kumiko patterns, it adds a refined, almost sculptural touch to the workspace.
 

First Print File: Standard Setup – includes a recommended combination of shell and inserts for easy plug.

Second Print File: Full Custom Kit – includes all 15 insert variations and 3 Kumiko-style shells for mix-and-match personalization.

Features:

• 3 Kumiko-style shell designs
  The outer shells are inspired by traditional Japanese Kumiko patterns. Each one has its own vibe, and they really add a subtle decorative touch to the desk.
   

• 15  Swappable inserts

  The inner layout is super flexible. I use the narrow ones for pens and brushes, and the wider ones for scissors and tools. It’s easy to reconfigure depending on what I need.

• Modular parts : easy printing and colour mixing

  Since the shell and inserts are separate prints, it’s really fun to experiment with different filament combos. It also makes cleanup and replacement simple.

  It works great either angled or upright. I switch it depending on where I’m working.

  • Angled, which makes it easier to grab things quickly
  • Upright, which saves space and keeps the layout tight

Whether it’s pens, markers, tools, or even makeup brushes, this has become one of those things that’s both practical and just fun to use. And honestly, it looks great just sitting there on the desk.
