Description

Right. So, picture this. My girlfriend, lovely as she is, was using a spoon to measure out laundry detergent. Not one spoon. No, no  two. Every time. Like some sort of detergent cocktail. So I thought, ‘Hang on… isn’t there a better way to do this?' Turns out, two spoons is about 30 millilitres. Who knew? Well, I do. Now.

So obviously, I couldn’t just let that stand. I fired up the calculator, used the formulas for a cone and a cylinder, yes actual maths, to figure out exactly how tall a container needed to be to hold that magic 30ml. And because I’m not a monster, I even added a nice ergonomic thumb rest.

The result? A tiny measuring cup. It’s simple. It’s accurate. And, in our household at least, it’s been nothing short of revolutionary.
