Description

Highly detailed scale models of "The Gadget" trinity test and the "Little Boy" bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. The trinity test was the height of human achievement when we first split the atom. The "Little Boy" was shortly after and the low point when it was dropped on the mostly civilian population of Japan. I thought the two together show an interesting contrast so they come in a set. They are a large size 7"x6" and 12"x4" when assembled with attention to all of the small details like rivets, bolts, antennas and crane hooks. All of the color painting was done with the help of historical photos. They are a challenging and long print but once done they look amazing.

To achieve the nice look of “The Gadget” I used “Eryone galaxy glitter black PLA” as it has a unique metallic look. You will need glue for final assembly. On “Little Boy” model I did not hide the seams and they do a good job of replicating the look of welds on the bombs metal body.

I combined the best elements and features from 3 different models to get the most detailed and realistic models possible.
