Description

Easy to print vertical stand for Barrina T8 LED Grow Lights. Parts lock together with a snug fit and does not require glue to assemble.

Assembly:

  1. Attach the 4 Legs to the Base using the bottom clips
  2. Attach the Brace to the top clips of the legs.

Additional Base and Brace .stl files are available for a loose fit.

  • original: 33.2mm x 6.2mm
  • loose: 33.6mm x 6.6mm

UPDATED: V2 Legs improve the balance of the stand and reduces the time and filament required.

Designed for Barrina T8 LED Grow Lights - the stand attaches to the rail on the back.

Thanks for the designs. Printed in PETG. Was a bit of a snug fit on my Barrina T8. Added a 0.4mm tolerance to help with installing. otherwise, super functional for my soon to be built hydroponic system. Thanks again!

Did you modify the STL file? Because yeah I couldn’t get this to go together either. Seeing what best option is to get assembled. Trying it for my 8ft T8 for garage lighting.

Yes, I modified the STL file to make it fit. The default spacing for for the model's T8 base was 33.2mm x 6.28mm. Was a bit snug, so i added a negative part (cube) of 33.6mm x 6.6mm (with a z-height that would provide full clearance). I did the same on the 'base plate' (on the left of the screenshot), but raised the elevation so that it wouldn't remove the 'notch guard'. Hope that helps.

Thank you for the suggestion! I kept it a bit snug to keep the stand from sliding off when moving the lights around. There is definitely room to relax the fit and make it easier to install. I've added .stl files using your recommended 0.4mm tolerance to hopefully help the next person. I appreciate it!

Three things. 1. It is too tight. I just increased the overall size to 103%. 2. The legs fall when picked up. I super glued the legs to the bottom brace. 3. The top brace has to slide on the white cover on the end but once it has passed it is loose and allows the light to wobble a bit. I haven't implemented a solution for this yet. Otherwise works great. Thanks for the design.

Thanks for taking the time to share feedback! I just added some .stl files with a looser fit which should help with item 1. Printing at 100% may also help with item 2, it is intended to be press fit. Regarding item 3, you are correct. It does slide over the cover and can be a bit of a pain to get back off. I tried lowering the back wall so the brace could be flipped upside down, but this caused it to be less stable overall. I am sure it can be improved upon, the current form is just what has been working best for me. Happy to read any of the solutions you come up with!

It'll be nice if the loose fit models are in the default 3MF file. I cannot assemble the default version, but the loose fit one works.
