Description

This is a very slight remix of this source model:  Scalpel Cover for Swann No.3 Handle & Blade 10A

The cover was not quite the right size for the no.3 handles I use which are slightly elongated compared to Swann-Morton so a standard 10 blade to hit the end of the cover before the bottom of the cap was seated around the handle causing it to be too loose.  Others were having a similar problem using an 11 blade.  I made a minor modification by extending the cap length and interior blade-end clearance by a few mm but keeping the other dimensions/tolerances the same.

It fits great now- not too tight but nice and snug around the handle with no worries of it popping off if it gets bumped around my tool tray or workspace a bit!  This should also allow that little extra clearance for an 11 blade with this type of handle or a Swann-Morton that the original model was designed around.

This scalpel handle (see photos) is a style produced by Med-Vet and Medline Surgical and other similar vendors using Pakistan SS.
