Description

Make every roll of the dice fair with this modular Dice Tumbler Tower!

For any game where you roll dice, this modular Dice Tumbler Tower ensures a fair and random roll every time!  Optional stackable inserts each have different internal beams or platforms to help make each roll of the dice unpredictable.  The dice tray in the Base keeps your dice from flying across the table or onto the floor.

Simply drop one or more dice into the opening at the top of the tower and they roll out into the dice tray after a random trip down the Dice Tumbler Tower.

Quiet areas on the sides of the dice tray can be used to park any dice that you wish to preserve as you roll the other dice again (for multi-roll games like Yahtzee).

When not being used, your dice can be stored in the large hidden compartment under the tower section of the Base.  The entire Dice Tumbler Tower can be easily assembled for use and disassembled (if desired) for storage.

This Dice Tumbler Tower is composed of a Base, a Bottom, a Top, and optional "Dice" Inserts and "Squeeze" Inserts that can be added to the tower.  It has been designed for standard 16mm (~5/8") or smaller 6-sided (d6) dice.  Other types or larger sizes of dice may work, but I haven't tested any to ensure that they don't get stuck in the tower.

All parts can be printed in a single color (with different colors for each part if desired), but the "Dice" Insert is intended to be printed in three colors, so a multi-color device such as an AMS or MMU is recommended for this optional Insert.

The following render shows all the printed parts - including the optional Inserts:

PRINTING + ASSEMBLY:
--------------------

All parts of the Dice Tumbler Tower can be printed in PETG or PLA on any 3D printer with a build area of at least 220mm wide by 120mm deep by 86mm high.

Assembly consists of placing the Bottom on the Base, zero or more Inserts on the Bottom or on another Insert, and finally the Top on the very top.  Note that the upper and/or lower sections of each stacking part have grooves and/or tabs to loosely hold parts in place - they do not "snap" together!

NOTES:
------

I have provided STEP (.stp) files for all parts to allow modifications to my design.

Bambu Studio (less than version 2.0) 3MF files have been provided for PETG.

The Dice Tumbler Tower parts seen in the photos were printed in various Sunlu and Prusament PETG colors with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height with a 5% gyroid infill and 3 shells.  Only the optional "Dice" Insert was printed with multiple colors to make the dice on this part stand out; it can be printed in a single color.
