Description
Hi everyone,
I've created a sleek, illuminated picture frame – perfect for showcasing model cars or other small collectibles up to 15 cm in length.
This makes it ideal for popular model car scales like 1:24, 1:32, and 1:30.
💡 Even, Soft Illumination
The frame provides smooth, even lighting that highlights your object beautifully.
For the best results, I recommend using an LED strip with closely spaced LEDs and lining the interior with aluminum adhesive tape to reflect and diffuse the light.
🛠️ Easy Assembly
- Print the base
→ Apply the aluminum tape and install the LED strip. “A standard LED strip up to 1.5 meters in length will fit perfectly” - Print the bottom piece
→ Insert and fix it into the frame. - Print the insert
→ Glue it onto the bottom piece. - Slide the top cover into place.
Done!
🔧 Mounting Options
- Use the rear holes to secure your model with wire or zip ties.
- Alternatively, drill holes in the bottom and screw in your object from behind.
- The frame can be displayed upright or mounted on a wall.
