Description

My first full rocket design!  This model rocket stands ~ 2ft. tall and is built for a D size engine, or large format C engine (24mmx70mm).  I incorporated a newly designed engine retention system that I designed to be easier and lightweight. \\

Excellent print quality with American filament black PCTG. Good strength, flexibility and heat resistance with this filament. I used a finned parabolic nosecone instead of the conical one in the file. Great launch on an Estes D12-5 to at least 500ft. All good until the chute opened and it caught an upper wind current that carried it over 500 yards into the Arkansas river. I will be printing a new one to replace it. Thanks for a great design.

Don’t print out of pla it will be much too weak and not heat resistant enough. I’ve tested with other rockets before not this specific model yet though.
