Description

FULLY PRINTED CIGAR HUMIDOR – WITH STORAGE FOR ACCESSORIES

A practical, good-looking solution for casual cigar lovers

This is a fully 3D-printed cigar humidor, ideal for occasional smokers who want something functional, stylish, and fun to print. It may not fully replace a traditional wooden humidor for long-term storage, but it works great for casual use, travel, or small collections.

The design is optimized for PLA wood filament, which gives it a warm, authentic appearance and helps regulate interior humidity. The inner cigar compartment is entirely made from PLA wood—even if you choose to print the outer lid in a different filament for contrast.

WHY THIS WORKS

With the gel I’m using, it keeps my cigars at a steady 70% humidity. PLA wood not only looks the part—it’s also slightly porous, helping maintain a more stable internal climate than standard PLA.

The design features a humidification capsule, a dry storage section, a hygrometer slot, and a magnetically mounted box with a perforated sliding lid to hold your humidity agent. It also includes two printed TPU gaskets to help maintain the internal humidity.

KEY FEATURES

  • 🧱 Fully 3D-printed body and lid
  • 🪵 Optimized for PLA wood for both aesthetics and function
  • 🌫️ Internal humidity box with a perforated sliding lid
  • 🧵 Includes two TPU-printed sealing gaskets
  • 📦 Separate dry compartment for accessories
  • 🌡️ Slot for a standard rectangular hygrometer
  • 🧲 Snap-fit magnetic closure and humidity box mount
  • 🔩 Screwed hinge for reliable opening
  • 🎨 Outer lid can be printed in a contrasting filament for extra flair

YOU’LL ALSO NEED

  • 1× Standard rectangular hygrometer
  • 2× M3x20 cylinder head screws
  • 14× Round magnets, 6×2 mm
  • 2× printed TPU gaskets (included in the files)
  • Humidifying crystal gel or similar moisture agent

ASSEMBLY GUIDE

1. Use a few drops of superglue to fix the large TPU gasket into the groove of the box. Ribbed side up.

2. Insert 6 magnets into the lid and 6 into the box body. Seal them with the included plugs. Check polarity!

3. Slide the wooden inlay into the lid. Add glue if necessary.

4. Join lid and box using the M3x20 screws. Don’t overtighten.

5. Slide the small TPU gasket over the hygrometer and press it firmly into the lid from the outside.

6. Insert 4 magnets into the humidity box and the lid insert. Check polarity again!

7. Slide the humidity capsule into its slot inside the lid. It clicks into place via magnets. Fill with gel and close the lid.

NOTES & TIPS

  • This humidor is perfect for casual storage, travel, or display—but may not replace a traditional unit for long-term cigar aging
  • Humidity box keeps moisture separate from cigars
  • TPU gaskets help seal the system without needing rubber or foam
  • Dry compartment fits cutters, lighters, or accessories
  • Mix lid colors for contrast—but always keep inner components PLA wood
  • Don’t skip magnet polarity checks—they’re crucial
  • Refresh humidity beads as needed to maintain optimal humidity

Want a humidor that’s portable, personal, and surprisingly satisfying to build?
Print it, load it, and enjoy a smoke-worthy print with real function.
