Fractal Design 7 XL Wheels – Reinforced (All-in-One Plate)

This is a repost of Wolfgang Weber’s excellent reinforced wheel mod for the Fractal Design 7 XL case. All credit for the original design and concept goes to him.

I've consolidated the individual parts into a single build plate layout to make it easier for others to print in one go—perfect for printers with a large enough bed like the Bambu Lab X1C. No design changes were made to the model itself; this is simply a convenience remix for easier printing and part organization.

This is the alternative version of the model, which includes:

• Rod holes sized at 8.15mm (instead of 8.10mm)
• Closed-end rod channels designed for exactly 22cm 8mm threaded rods

• Solid top pins (no zip-tie support, but more durable)

   

✅ Printed successfully using PETG on my Bambu Lab X1C
✅ Fits 22cm long 8mm threaded steel rods perfectly (as per the alt. version)
✅ Great rigidity and stability – zero wiggle
✅ Uses standard 11mm caster wheels
