Survival Matchcase

This 3D printable matchcase was designed for survival, camping, and emergency situations. It’s compact, waterproof, and safely stores matches while allowing ignition directly from the lid.

Important: For maximum safety, always place the matches with the heads facing downward (away from the lid) to avoid accidental ignition.

Key Features:
    •    Notched Twisting Lock: A secure and tight seal protects the contents from water, dirt, and impact.
    •    Built-in Ignition Slot: A recessed area inside the lid holds a striker pad (match-ignition surface), protected from external elements.
    •    Textured Grip Surface: Ensures solid handling even with wet hands or gloves.
    •    Keyring Hole: Easily attach to keychains, backpacks, or belts with a ring or carabiner.
    •    Optimized Interior: Efficient use of internal space to store matches, while keeping the overall design compact.
    •    O-ring Groove: Supports a rubber sealing ring for enhanced waterproofing.

Recommended Print Settings:
    •    Layer Height: 0.2 mm
    •    Material: PETG or ASA (weather-resistant)
    •    Supports: Only for the lid if needed

Assembly:
    •    Insert the O-ring into the lid groove to ensure full sealing.
    •    To attach the striker pad inside the lid, you can use strong double-sided tape, contact adhesive, or hot glue, as long as it’s compatible with the printed material.

Extra Tip:

If you need additional storage for petroleum jelly cotton, fire starters, or other combustible materials, simply print additional units and use them as extra fire kit containers.
