Description

🛠️ Reengineered Slip Joint Pliers – Fully Functional | Print-Ready Tool

This is my first custom 3D model – a fully functional, reengineered version of the Pittsburgh slip joint pliers. I designed it as part of a project for my engineering class, and I'm excited to share it with the MakerWorld community! It is functional, I've tested it on bottles and its decently strong at 20% infill.

🔧 Features:

  • Working slip-joint mechanism
  • Prints cleanly with proper supports
  • Realistic pivot system for smooth movement
  • Built-in tolerances for the pin and nut fit
  • Great grip and articulation right off the bed

🖨️ Print Notes:

  • Printed in Creality Hyper PLA
  • Only tree supports needed under the pin
  • You can bump up the infill for extra strength
  • The threads between the pin and nut could use a small tweak – I lightly heated and flattened the pin end to keep it in place

I'm an engineering student, and this is my first original 3D model. Feedback, suggestions, and support would mean a lot as I keep learning and improving. Thanks for checking it out!
