Description
đ ď¸ Reengineered Slip Joint Pliers â Fully Functional | Print-Ready Tool
This is my first custom 3D model â a fully functional, reengineered version of the Pittsburgh slip joint pliers. I designed it as part of a project for my engineering class, and I'm excited to share it with the MakerWorld community! It is functional, I've tested it on bottles and its decently strong at 20% infill.Â
đ§ Features:
- Working slip-joint mechanism
- Prints cleanly with proper supports
- Realistic pivot system for smooth movement
- Built-in tolerances for the pin and nut fit
- Great grip and articulation right off the bed
đ¨ď¸ Print Notes:
- Printed in Creality Hyper PLA
- Only tree supports needed under the pin
- You can bump up the infill for extra strength
- The threads between the pin and nut could use a small tweak â I lightly heated and flattened the pin end to keep it in place
I'm an engineering student, and this is my first original 3D model. Feedback, suggestions, and support would mean a lot as I keep learning and improving. Thanks for checking it out!
