Description
I designed this vertical stand when the one I download left my desk looking cluttered!
What started out as a simple design got more complex as my initial models had one flaw or another (I originally printed the shelves in place but overhangs and supports added print time and the quality didn't end up where I wanted it to be.
The rear shelf is designed to fit a generic USB/HDMI dongle and means the whole laptop can be powered with a single cable leaving everything looking super clean.
My personal preference with anything that might get ‘hot' is ABS or PETG and I've printed my personal dock using PETG however I've got a PLA copy in use at work and its holding up file.
Technically the model has a 15mm slot, which supports my Macbook Air M2 without becoming stressed. I made my Fusion models easy to extend or modify so if the model gets any interest (or any downloads at all) I can make variants with different shelf depths, heights, with or without USB ports, or even to fit different laptop thicknesses.
Built using Fusion it was imported as a STEP file into Bambu Studio so should be clean from a conversion point of view.
