Description
I was searching all over the internet for a lamp in this style but couldn’t find one — so I decided to make one from scratch and share it with you guys! :)
The lamp uses just over 3 meters of 10mm RGBW LED strip (picture 9), which I secured in place using clear tape, since the built-in adhesive wasn’t strong enough (picture 7). I also removed the controller board’s housing to make it fit better inside the lamp. (picture 8) There’s also a hole for receiving signals from the remote control, as shown in the picture 8.
The LED strip runs neatly inside a groove in the pole, which keeps it aligned in a straight line all the way through.
If you decide to print this, be careful with the base's thin wall that holds the shade in place — it can break quite easily. The shade is printed in PLA, while the base and pole are printed with ABS-GF.
When handling the model, be careful — the pole is attached at only one point, so the top part is almost free to move.
Also, make sure to align the parts that make up the pole properly when gluing them together, so it stays straight.
The shade parts should fit into each other nicely.
If you have any suggestions for upgrades or improvements, feel free to let me know — this is my first post after all!
