Description

On my F900XR, it wasn’t possible to use both a tank bag and the navigation system at the same time. To solve this, I rotated the original BMW navigation bracket, which allowed space for the tank bag. However, this caused the navigation unit to sit about 2 cm in front of the motorcycle dashboard.

To fix this, I designed a replacement part for the bracket that lowers the navigation unit just enough for me to clearly see the entire dashboard and the navigation screen, while still fitting my SW-Motech Micro tank bag.

I’ll be replacing my prototype with the final version (v1) this week, and I’ll update the photos with higher-quality ones once that’s done.

thank you for this model! it's great! I have a question nonetheless. the goal is to put the carpuride higher. so compared to you I invert the part. so I have 1mm too much for it to fit well. since I'm printing it in pteg cf I have no flexibility and I can't screw it properly. do you know how I can do it? thank you in advance

Could I print with ABS, or perhaps ASA? Regarding temperature, UV resistance, and weather protection?
