Description

Portable chair with suitcase function by EMAY Design

The concept is based on a portable chair with a clever transport function for on-the-go use. The individual parts fit neatly into the seat and are completely stowed away. The chair legs are secured and stowed in the inserts inside. The lid of the case opens and closes with a click-lock. The stylish design is also intended to be eye-catching when on the go and resembles a bag or suitcase. For transport, the case has a holder for carrying by hand or with a strap. When you want to assemble the chair, simply open the case and remove the individual parts.

The legs can be quickly assembled by inserting them underneath the seat. Extensions allow the legs to be easily extended using a click-lock system.

Please notice:

I printed the model on P1S.
I'm not sure if or how good it works on the other Printers, so if you printed with A1, or others, please write it on the comments to help others. Thanks!

Conceptual Goals:

- Stowable chair legs

- Chair and suitcase function in one

- Easy to transport

- Stylish design

- Stable (tested weight see picture)

- Measure: Height approx. 35cm

Conclusion:

- The Material PLA Basic or PLA Matte worked well. With PLA Silk, the snap fasteners on the extensions broke because the material is too brittle and doesn't bend even slightly, making it unsuitable, so keep this in mind.

If you like the project, give me a like! Thanks!

UPDATE:

Please use the latest “UPDATE” Print Profile File (0,2 layer height, 10% infill, 3walls) if you download to get the best result.
I made a little improvement for better quality in the inlays with changing the degree and improving the print time!
