Description

Updated - I have finally received my extension bit and the slot is 10mm longer than the description they provided.

 

Pretty simple build.

was concerned that PETG or PLA might damage the surface of the screwdriver so I printed in Bambu white TPU. came out near perfect. not a single issue. no cleanup needed.

Where is the file for the insert? I would also like to print in TPU but the original file seems to be missing the internals.

Printed in PLA, fits perfectly in the box. The part holding the screwdriver handle is also a bit tight, over time it may cause some rubbing wear on the plastic handle. Maybe in your future revisions, could give a bit more width to the screwdriver handle as well.

Just finished printing this along with the box. The box is overall pretty good, nothing to complain, for the holder, the bit holes are quite tight, and most of the bits i cannot push all the way in and is a struggle to remove the first few times. After a few insert/removals it fit better. Also, the spacing between the bits seem a bit too tight, there's actually quite a bit of space between the bits and the handle, would've preferred if each bit had a bit more space around it to grab using the fingers. As a side request, it would be cool if you could design a model that has the bits fit a bit looser but allow magnets to be added below the bit holders to hold the bits in by magnets.

I can do that. I kept them tight so they would grip. But I like your magnet idea. I have seen it on other holders. I will definitely put another revision. thank you

i just printed this and i think if you come back around to it, adding a pause to insert 6x2mm magnets before the last could layers in the bit holder would be amazing. i haven't learned enough to figure that out yet lol
