Intake strainer for Fluval Shaker aquarium

This 3D printed part helps prevent debris, plants, and small creatures like shrimp from getting pulled into the canister—while keeping water flow strong and stable. It’s designed with a snug fit and wide surface area to reduce clogging and minimize maintenance.

Made this one larger than standard for better performance on a high-flow system like the FX2. If you run a similar setup and want to upgrade your intake protection, feel free to reach out!

Edit: I’ve added a second print profile—also sized for better water flow—but with smaller holes to block even tiny shrimp like Neocaridina from getting in.
