Description

WARNING: I'm new to 3D printing and this is the first thing that I have done from scratch.  It's not elaborate, but it worked well for my needs.  I had searched for something like this, couldn't find it, and decided to share in case it would help someone else out.

Broan NuTone 688E to 6" Duct Take-Off Adapter

Basically, I wanted to take a low power exhaust fan and adapt it to work as a fume extractor for my 3D printer (because ABS fumes fill the shop quickly).  My goal was to stay as close to 0 pressure differential on the printer exhaust port to not interfere with the printer's designed specs.  Long story short - I used this with some duct work to create the monstrosity that I am currently using.  Down the road, I'm hoping to get good enough at this to do an entire 3D printed version, but I'm sticking to what I know for now.

It's not elaborate.  It's not pretty.  But, it worked on the first print and fit snugly - which I was proud of.  I used standard duct tape to seal everything better.

Printed mine in PLA.  Still learning the different filaments and something else would likely be better.

Anyway, I hope someone else out there will find it useful.
