Notice: Despite the name, safety razors are sharp! This bread lame uses friction to keep the blade retracted. It is not suitable for extremely young bakers that have not learned how to handle sharp objects on their own, parental supervision is advised.

Thank you for this! works perfectly, especially after filing the parts that slides, makes it super smooth. I also gave it a fancy pattern I found by adding the 3d model as a negative part in bambu studio, worked surprisingly well. Only nitpick I have is that the compartment for the m3 nut was a bit too tight.

Awesome work, and thanks for the feedback. unfortunately, there is a fine line between too loose and too tight for this kind of friction fit, and a wide variety of tolerances on the nuts. I may be able to add a couple of extra thumb slides with larger openings.

Great print, works quite well! Had to print the thumb part with brim, it kept falling halfway. No biggy! Also created a simple cap for it to prevent the blade sliding out when not in use.

Works nicely. Would be nice with a detent or cover or some kind of safety mechanism.

The design is absolutely great! One little improvement can be done, is to allow a bit of the friction adjustment on the washer pad so the blade don‘t slip out easily. I have adjusted the screw pad to 4mm height to achieve this.

Thank you, my wife bakes sourdough and her current lame, is kind of dangerous to replace the blades. This will make my life simpler. Plus I can make her a couple so she doesn't need replacements as often.
