We have the Holy… Benchy Grenade?

Yes! Of course! The Holy Benchy Grenade of Creative Tools! It's one of the sacred relics Brother Daniel Norée and Brother Paulo Kiefe carries with them!

How does it work? Let us consult with the Public Domain (CC0 1.0 Universal) on MakerWorld!

Hi! I hope you appreciated my funny intro and general remix on the theme and quotes about the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch (click that to go to my model of the OG movie prop). For the Benchy 10th Anniversary I thought it would be fun to apply some holy sacred relic aesthetic to the Benchy. The model can be assembled across 3 pieces/plates (save waste and time) or as one (more waste, more time).

If printing in pieces, note that the Benchy and Cross have inserts that allow you to place a 4x2mm magnet onto other side. This allows you to maintain the aesthetic while still being able to “pull the pin” to mimic the activation of the grenade. - - But remember the instructions:

''First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.”

The Magnet use in action (and a silly video edit with movie dialogue):

Print Profile #1 - Holy Benchy Grenade

Plate 1 - The Cross. The only plate requiring AMS. It takes approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes to print. Use Supports.

Plate 2 - Benchy. Benchy with cuts to allow for the ornaments to be applied and a magnet to be inserted.

Plate 3 - Ornament Balls. Print with supports to allow it to keep its shape. They aren't too difficult to remove, but do be patient in doing so.

Print Profile #2 - Holy Benchy Grenade 1 Piece

Plate 1 - The whole model at once. Requires supports. Be warned - this profile takes 14 hours to print and over 160g of filament waste. I am including it only if someone really doesn't want to do any form of assembly, but I would highly recommend using the first print profile.
