Description

This build plate rack was designed to complement the aesthetics of the X1C and look good beside it. The model snaps together without need for fasteners but you may use glue to permanently bond the pieces together. I used Bambu Lab matte light grey and black PLA for the base and nameplate, and Bambu Lab Silver Basic PLA for the front, back and top pieces. To match the P1 series, change the filament selection to black with white for the letters (each letter is an object). For assembly I would suggest sliding the nameplate to the front piece first, then snap the front and back pieces to the top piece upside-down, and finally snapping the bottom piece in place. Make sure you clean the support material out of the fastening slots completely for a nice fit.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Order of assembly is very important, as by design it is virtually impossible to put the top piece in last. Lay the top piece upside down on a table first, then push either the front or back piece down on it, wiggling it a bit at the start with an ever so slight (like half a degree) inner angle. The ribbed part is actually lightly tapered. Push down with your palm and it should click in. Putting in the bottom piece last spreads out the assembly straight and completes the self locking.
