  • Makcsosmos Keypad Kit x 1:

Description

I hope you enjoy the customised models for the Makcsosmos Keypad Kit.

If you own an AMS I recommend the alternative Keycaps printing profile for improved quality!

.3mf only contains the printables!

Original reference:

General:

  • This print is made for usage of AMS, but all symbols etc are different bodies so you can just reduce them to one filament or delete them if you just want blank keypads.

Keycaps:

  • 100% Custom Keypads - I only recreated the original stem to fit on the switches.
  • I really like the outcome so far with the wide 0.4mm nozzle, but of yourse you may have much better results with the 0.2mm one or increased symbol heigth. Unfortunately my white filament is pretty transparent at 1-2 0.15mm layers.

I customised my Keypad with: Copy / Paste / Esc / Enter / Win+D

The driver offers custom configurations, I just made the printables for my first personal config.

  • UPDATE: added optimised versions for better surface quality but with several filament changes in AMS

  • Supports:
    • Do not worry about the Supports inside the key. I configured it to be easily removable. They come out as one solid piece without any harm to the actual part. I used a little screwdriver to snap them of the model with barely any force required.

Rotary Switch:

  • 100% Custom - I only recreated the original inner diameter for the switch.
  • made of 2 pieces. assmbling takes a bit of force by hand but the hexagon cover is pretty strong so I dont expect you to destroy it assembling. It has a very solid fit so no glue is required.

Custom Frame:

  • I reworked the outer geometry and added a tilted platform for a Makerworld sticker delivered withy my A1 mini.
  • Alternative Frame .3mf without stickerplatform but hexagon surface available

Base Plate:

  • I modified the stems for screwing. The original ones are pretty weak, so I inceased their wall thickness a bit to be easier to handle.

Groove:

  • Only model I did not modifiy. This is the original geometry file.
  • .3mf contains my prining parameters

Materials:

  • Basic PLA Black
  • Jayo PLA white
  • Jayo PLA grey
  • Polyterra PLA Marble

For higher durability I recommend others than PLA especially for the keypads.

As I just get started with 3D printing I used PLA and I am going to seal the keypads with an epoxy layer to make them more resistant so sweat.

Remarks:

NO GUARANTE THAT MAKCOSMOS CHANGES THEIR KIT DESIGN AND AN UPDATED VERSION MIGHT NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH MY PRINTABLES.

I bought mine 04/2025.
