Here's my take on Gengarball, the Pokéball inspired by the Pokémon Gengar!
I didn't want to overly complicate this model to keep it functional, as I envisioned it as a beautiful display piece. The pokeball parts are designed to be glued each other. However, you can print the pokeball at 98% of his size, achieving a nice interlocking fit between the parts without the need for glue or anything else. This allows you to open the ball by removing the top part, adding a functional element to the model.
Specifically, the ball consists of an upper part, a lower part, an intermediate ring, and two parts for the central button, so that everything can be printed in your preferred colors. Additionally, there's a small stand to keep the ball in position once printed and displayed. As mentioned earlier, if printed at 100% scale, a drop of glue will be needed in the joints to connect the two halves to the intermediate ring. However, printing it at 98% will maintain the friction of the interlocks without the need for glue, allowing you to "open and close" the ball removing the upper part. The two button parts will need to be glued in both cases.
In the project file I've added the manual supports I used for printing the ball and activated the brim, which I highly recommend. The supports ensure that the ball is rigid and doesn't detach from the plate during printing. They also help the bridge close smoothly without any issues, as they're supported right from the base.
