9g Servo Gripper for Robotics Competitions

A 9g servo gripper designed for robotics competitions.
It requires the shortest servo arm that comes with a 9g servo, and no glue is needed for installation; simply press it into the printed part. (If installation is difficult, you can modify the size of the hole by adjusting Quality → Precision → X-Y Inset Compensation.)

Two M2 screws are required for servo installation. The blind hole depth is 8mm. If the screws included in your parts kit are too long, they may damage the printed part.

There are two slots on the back of the servo mount where you can insert M4 nuts to secure the mount in your desired location.

As shown, to install the gripper, an M3x8 screw is needed. If you want to use a shorter screw, you can adjust the thickness of the small spacer.

The current print configuration has a relatively large gap between the gears to reduce the load on the servo. If you have specific gear meshing requirements, you can adjust Quality → Precision → X-Y Outset Compensation.

Slots are provided on the gripper to accommodate rubber bands to increase friction. Given the relatively low output of the 9g servo, I recommend installing only one rubber band.

The radius of the arc is designed to accommodate the dimensions of speed stacking cups.
