🪟 Home Window Latch – OE Replacement (Design 1 & 2)
C59 Basics – Everyday Utility at Your Fingertips
This things includes two OE-style replacement window latches, created to match two different latch types found in my cabin. These designs are intended for restoring functionality while keeping the original look and feel with a clean, minimalist approach.
- Design 1 uses a standard coil spring — may be replaceable with similar-sized springs from hardware stores or online sources.
- Design 2 A heavy-duty version is in development. This design is intended for a tapered, non-standard spring. Since this is intended to replace a broken unit and I haven't verified any replacement sources, the original spring must be reused.

⚠️ Spring Note:
Springs are not included in the design files.
- Design 1: Common coil spring — may be sourced separately
- Design 2: Custom tapered spring — must be salvaged from the original latch
If a reliable source for either becomes known, it will be shared in the future.
