Funnel for filling engine oil in motorcycles

I wanted a funnel that I wouldn't have to temporarily secure with straps or zip ties to top up oil on my motorcycles

That's why I decided to design one that screws into the thread of the oil filler cap

My first design was a one-piece funnel, but it turned out to be impractical

Therefore, I divided the funnel into three parts

The threaded piece that screws directly on, an extension tube (one straight, one angled) and the funnel itself

For my motorcycles, I needed M19x2.5 and M30x1.5

I also made threaded pieces in M19x1.5, M20x1.5, M20x2.5, and M30x2.5

Feel free to contact me for other thread sizes. I will create them then

Print should be in PETG at least

Attached is a list of compatible motorcycles

It certainly fits more models

Please measure your own cap's diameter and thread pitch beforehand

The M19x2.5 fits the following motorcycles (information without guarantee!):

Could you make a motoranschluss wit a diameter of 7mm? That would help me a lot

Hello. Can you tell me in more detail what you need? Should the thread be an M7 (7mm)? If so, the inside diameter will be very small, which will significantly reduce the throughput speed.

No the thread can be bigger. maybe M10. the important thing is that the inside diameter is 7mm I know throughput speed will be very slow.

I imagine that plastic particles will come loose and end up in the engine when screwing in the threaded piece. Couldn't this harm the engine?

It should be screwed in carefully and not with force. If everything is printed correctly, it can be screwed in easily without anything breaking off or being damaged.

I've been thinking about this dilemma and I think I've come up with solution to lower the chance of particles from ending up within the engine. I've printed quite a few threaded pieces in PETG. It usually takes a few screwing and unscrewing to get rid of imperfections on the threaded areas. Think of stringing or simple artifacts. A "sacrificial" nut with inner threads that align with your model could be printed to go over the threaded part of your model a few times. This way the imperfections that could release as plastic particles are hopefully gone by the time you screw your model into the engine.

that's why engines have oil filters. or do motorcycles not have them?
