【Special Notes for F1 Models】
1. The author has conducted structural printing tests on all models before release. However, the F1 model has a complex structure and requires high printing precision. Newcomers are advised to use the parameters in the slicer directly for printing and not to adjust them arbitrarily to avoid printing failures; experienced players may ignore this reminder.
2. The printing effect of the model is affected by various objective factors such as equipment, filament, and environment. 3. All models from the author are tested based on Bambu Lab printers, and the configuration files use Bambu Lab's official slicing software. If you are using other brands of printers, it is recommended to adjust the parameters according to your own equipment's slicing software and preview before printing. Thank you for your cooperation!
4. As multi-color printing becomes the trend, the model is sliced with the H2C multi-nozzle printer by default. For other models, please refer to your own model for slicing preview to check the time and filament consumption.

【Read Before Printing!!! Warm Tips】
It is strongly recommended to print the single-color configuration first before printing the multi-color configuration to test the model structure and slicing effect (Cost of single-color model printing: 64 scale 15g filament, 2 hours. 43 scale 50g filament, 3 hours). After being satisfied with the model's appearance, articulated structure, and slicing effect, then print the multi-color version. Thank you.
Note: Before printing the multi-color configuration file, you can enlarge it according to the complexity of the paint scheme. Preview in the slicing software to check the details and ensure printability.

The McLaren MCL38 is a Formula 1 car specifically developed by the McLaren team for the 2024 F1 World Championship season.
It was co-led in design by David Sanchez, Peter Prodromou, and Rob Marshall.
The driver lineup features Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
It was launched and first tested on February 14, 2024 (Valentine) at the Silverstone Circuit.
It debuted at the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix, ultimately helping McLaren reclaim the Constructors' World Championship after 26 years.
Model Description
- Features rich interior and exterior structures: front and rear wings, suspension, seats, steering wheel
- Includes monochrome and multi-color print profiles: Monochrome can be painted and have water decals applied. Multi-color print profiles can be printed directly (requires more filament and takes longer), or used as a reference for monochrome painting.
- Movable wheels, no glue required for assembly. Designed according to 2022 standard 18-inch wheels. Specific dimensions: front wheels 305/720-18, rear wheels 405/720-18. Corresponding to 1/32 scale: front wheels 9.5/22.5-14.3, rear wheels 12.7/22.5-14.3
Size
- 1/32 scale
- Sliced file, using minimum printer size settings. You can adjust the number of multi-color models printed at once according to your printer size to save time and filament
- The car body and wheels are connected using bearings. Different printers and filaments may result in too loose or too tight a fit. You can print MR105 bearing assembly kit (various gap combinations) from Sampan1120 - MakerWorld for testing and replacing with suitable bearings
FDM Print Settings
- The physical model was printed using an A1 mini with a 0.4mm nozzle, 0.16mm layer height, official PLA Matte and PLA Basic. If other filaments cause looseness or tightness due to shrinkage, please sand or use 409 glue to fix.
- Infill density: 15%
- Supports: Angle 25°. The model is small, and if parts are too scattered, objects and structures will be too small. An integrated printing method is used. A combination of normal and tree supports was used. There are many support surfaces, please use cutters and tweezers, and remove them carefully. If broken, use 409 glue to bond.
- You can also adjust parameters for printing according to your own printing experience
Multi-color and Single-color Printing
- The multi-color profile is a split multi-part object and cannot be directly printed in single color, otherwise, there will be many seams on the surface. If you want to print in single color for painting, or confirm the structure before multi-color printing, you can download the single-color sliced file for printing (single-color printing time 5h, filament about 60g)
- For multi-color printing, both printing time and filament purge volume are relatively large. The current profile uses system-recommended multipliers. You can also adjust it according to your experience to save filament. However, it cannot be too small, otherwise, color bleeding will occur.
- Multi-color printing tip: Logos of various manufacturers have many details, and the car body livery has rich colors, exceeding 4 types. You can appropriately reduce or replace them with main colors, then purchase water decals to make decals.
- Can be printed in single color, using acrylic paint for painting.
- Various liveries will be released later, please follow for the latest models.
Painting Reference
- Sanding: (Optional) Sand in the order of 400-600-800 grit
- Coloring: Use acrylic paint brushes for painting (for edge layer texture penetration issues, you can first apply the main color over a large area, then paint the edges)
- Polishing: Use a flannel cloth for sanding and polishing; acrylic paint will show luster
Assembly Instructions
- You can refer to the exploded view of the parts for installation
- To improve the model's robustness and durability, the wheel clearance is small. Tires need to be installed with a little force and can be twisted in.
- The suspension connecting rods, steering wheel connecting rods, and rear wing are relatively thin, so pay extra attention when removing supports and installing them.
