Description

Do you remember that time in 2021 when the big thing got stuck in the other thing in egypt?

Of course I am talking about the Suez Canal and the Ever Given incident.

For the 10th anniversary of our beloved 3DBenchy I have recreated this well-known scenario in a cute little 15x15cm diorama.

Benchgiven? Everbenched? Everbenchy!

This model features:

  • a simplified recreation of the land, roads and buildings on the west side of the canal (while limiting it to four colors)
  • a big original 3DBenchy and also a remixed version of 3DBenchy with a longer deck and added storage containers
  • a print profile with ironing of the map surfaces to make them extra smooth
  • a highly technical mechanism to correct the Benchy's course to normal if you like (a 5.2x4mm pin)

Feel free to remix this model and place something different into the canal.
The hole for the pin is 1.9mm deep and is designed to fit pins with a diameter of about 5.2 to 5.4mm (depending on the tolerance of your material)
