Description
I wanted a more interesting version of the stock shift knob of my Accord, so I designed my own. It used ~47.5g (~15.5m) of material.
Designed explicitly for the 7th gen Accord, but the knob itself has a M10x1.5 screw tap if you want to use it on something else.
Regular PLA is NOT recommended, I used PETG, but other high-temperature materials such as ASA should work too.
Slicing instructions:
- <0.12mm resolution recommended
- >30% "Gyroid" infill
- Seam position: Back
- Supports: Normal auto & Snug
- Brim: I used a Supertack plate and a 10mm brim on the knob and 7.5mm brim on the lower piece worked well
Assembly:
- Remove supports and brims from model
- Remove stock knob (pull down on boot then unscrew the knob)
- Slide down lower piece all the way (make sure the seam faces away from you for best aesthetics)
- Screw on new knob until tight and seamless
