Description
I present here a highly individualised terminal box.
My application: electrical ignitions for planned fireworks
Here, it is important to me to have minimal setup work at the firing site. Therefore, I have implemented everything plug-and-play. A multi-core cable with a matching plug can be easily connected to the ignition case. The opposite side is fitted with the box presented here. This allows pallets/cartons of fireworks to be pre-wired and the igniters securely cabled to the box.
This box offers the possibility of using up to 8 ignition channels. A further variant for up to 12 channels can be found in my profile.
Box dimensions: Approx: 121x88x41mm
Round hole for cable top right: 10mm
Round hole for ignition fuse centre bottom: 14mm
In addition, there are rectangular holes for cable ties as strain relief just behind the round holes.
The lid only engages minimally – to allow easy opening in case of error (even outside in the dark)
In use, I will probably secure the lid lightly with small strips of adhesive tape.
Caution: While the box protects against wind and weather, it is not intended for permanent outdoor use. Watertightness is NOT provided here!
I generated the basic shape of the box using the generator from Mr. Practical from the source URL.
Subsequently, mounting holes and cable tie eyelets were added using Tinkercad. I also designed a custom terminal socket and integrated the lower row into the box.
The labelling was added lastly in Bambu Studio and can be adjusted at any time.
