Description
I present here a highly customized terminal box.
My use case: Electrical ignitions for planned fireworks
Here, it is important to me to have minimal setup work at the firing site. So I implemented everything plug-and-play. A multi-pin cable with a matching connector can be easily connected to the firing case. The opposite side is equipped with the box presented here. This allows pallets/cartons with fireworks to be pre-wired and the igniters to be securely wired to the box.
This box offers the possibility to use up to 12 ignition channels. Another variant for up to 8 channels can be found in my profile.
Box dimensions: Approx: 120x120x38mm
Round hole for cable top right: 13mm
Round hole for igniter wire bottom center: 16mm
In addition, there are rectangular holes for cable ties as strain relief just behind the round holes.
The lid only snaps in very slightly - to allow easy opening in case of an error (even outdoors in the dark)
In use, I will probably secure the lid lightly with small strips of adhesive tape.
Caution: The box protects against wind and weather, but is not intended for permanent outdoor use. Water tightness is NOT given here!
The basic shape of the box was generated using the generator from Mr. Practical from the source URL.
Subsequently, mounting holes and cable tie loops were added using Tinkercad. I also designed a custom terminal base and integrated the lower row into the box.
The labeling was added last in Bambu Studio and can be adjusted at any time.
