Euro Locks Emergency Access Tool - Drill Guide

This 3D printable drill guide is designed as an emergency solution for gaining access through Euro cylinder locks when the key is lost, broken inside the lock, or a locksmith is unavailable. This tool allows for controlled drilling to bypass the lock mechanism without causing significant damage to the door or frame.

Usage:

This guide is intended for use with a powerful cordless drill driver with a minimum torque of 50 Nm and an 6mm high-speed steel (HSS) drill bit suitable for metal. The guide helps stabilize the drill and direct the drilling action to a specific point on the cylinder.

Mechanism:

The drilling process, guided by this tool, targets the internal components of the Euro cylinder lock. By carefully drilling at the designated point, the springs beneath the pins are effectively removed or damaged. This disables the locking mechanism, allowing the cylinder to be turned with a flat-head screwdriver, thus unlocking the door. This method aims to bypass the lock's security features by manipulating its internal components, minimizing damage to the surrounding door and frame.

• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses to protect your eyes from flying debris and sturdy gloves to protect your hands.   
• Exercise extreme caution when operating power tools. Ensure a firm and stable grip on the drill driver and the drill guide.
• Work in a well-lit area to ensure clear visibility of the lock and the drill point.
• Start drilling slowly and increase speed gradually. Apply consistent pressure to the drill.
• Be aware of the materials you are drilling through (metal of the cylinder).
• If you encounter significant resistance, stop drilling and reassess your approach. Forcing the drill may cause damage to the tool or the lock.

• Layer Height: 0.2mm
• Infill: 15% but increased to 12walls around drill opening.
