Modular 3D Printed Fabric

No fabric required! No fabric required! No fabric required!

After a period of testing, prototyping, and refinement, consuming several spools of filament, I have finally produced a 3D-printed modular fabric that I find quite satisfactory.

  • The texture closely approximates that of conventional textiles:
  • The most basic version can serve as a foundation for numerous aesthetic and functional designs. Due to time constraints, I have only created two styles to inspire you; I hope you will expand upon this base:
  • Assembly is remarkably simple; simply press the connectors firmly into place:
  • The connection is exceptionally robust; it can support a spool of filament weighing approximately one kilogram without failing:
  • Different dimensions can be generated using parameters. I have included a simple code demonstration:
  1. Click Customize on the page:

    2. Click Upload File:

    3. Select the 4x4 STL file downloaded from the model page:

    4. Set the array parameters. Transformations and scaling can also be modified:

    5. Click Generate. After verifying the preview, download the file (3MF is recommended):

Again, due to time constraints, I have only created a vest and a small remote control bag as examples, but its applications are certainly not limited to these.

Please feel free to comment or message me with any questions. I eagerly await your creations!
