Description
I pondered the design of the Moon Lamp LED Lamp 001 Moon Lamp [High Resolution] [No Supports] by LeHa Design - MakerWorld and its exceptional results, attempting to reverse-engineer its technical approach for my own creation.
In short, the vast majority of commercially available relief lamps are single-sided, featuring a relief on the exterior while the interior remains smooth. Many are generated directly by importing images into https://lithophanemaker.com, which inherently limits light transmission and thickness.
In contrast, double-sided relief lamps distribute thickness evenly across both sides, enabling superior control over luminosity. This approach enhances brightness in illuminated areas, deepens shadows in darker regions, without compromising structural integrity.
I remain uncertain about the Moon Lamp creator's method for achieving double-sided relief, but based on this principle, I experimented with Blender and the Venus surface data from Solar Textures | Solar System Scope to model and successfully create a Venus Lamp to my satisfaction.

Regarding materials, I used a matte desert yellow filament, and the accessories employed the LED lamp compatible with MH001.
Concerning the lampshade interface, to complement existing base models, I adhered to the Moon Lamp's interface format. Therefore, you can directly use the Moon Lamp's base and other lamp types to provide illumination.
For alternative light sources, I recommend white light, as it showcases the captivating colors of Venus as depicted in cosmic imagery.
The lampshade weighs approximately 125g. Like the Moon Lamp, it requires no support for printing. I recommend slicing independently for optimal results. Due to the thicker design of the thin-walled model, issues such as top layer light leakage or bridging failures are less likely to occur.
I printed three or four final models on my A1 without encountering significant printing problems.
h2d is still working on their shoe project so haven't tested it, but it shouldn't present any issues.
