Trailblazers Inserts
Print Profile(3)

Bill of Materials
Description
Trailblazers is a great game by Bitewing Games!
Though, the provided inserts are a bit on the simple side, by having just a cardboard box as the animals tray, separated by a generic white cardboard insert.
So, I decided to make my own inserts, keeping only the animals box and discarding the white cardboard insert.
Notes:
- This set of inserts is meant for Trailblazers Deluxe and Sasquatch Expansion Pack.
- Only PVC cards were tested. (If someone owns the Paper cards from the Retail and Travel editions and are willing to try, please tell me whether they fit.)
Boost Me (for free)
I enjoy making custom board game inserts and other cool upgrades, but this takes time and money. A little boost would help me cover the costs for filament and other printer consumables needed to test the prints thoroughly. Thank you!
Contents
- Base Tray, which also includes slots for the Score pad, Player cards, and the Sasquatch Expansion Pack contents.
- Animals Tray Separator, to be inserted in the corresponding box that comes with the game.
- 2× Trail Cards Trays.
- There is also a variant of these trays with front openings in a separate profile.
- Square Cards Tray, which holds the Camp, Goal, Summary, and Solo cards.
- Travelers Tray.
- Campfires Tray.
- Clamshell Tray, for the Travel Edition, also available as a separate profile.
- Sasquatch Tokens, for the Travel Edition, also available as a separate profile.
Print Considerations
All card trays have a slanted base to ensure the PVC cards don't slide out on their own as easily.
The trays were designed so they all are aligned on the top, allowing the rulebook and other papers included to sit nicely on top of them.
Some of the parts have custom settings to ensure they print as best as possible, including:
- Changes to minimize the visible layers of the slanted surfaces;
- Changes to minimize wall bulges due to the changes of the layer time across the parts' heights.
Due to the size of the base tray, it's not possible to print in a A1 mini.
I recommend printing with the following filaments:
- Inserts with PLA Matte Latte Brown.
- Clamshell in PLA Basic Black.
- Sasquatch token in PLA Matte Mandarin Orange.
- Countdown token in PLA Basic Turquoise.
To avoid warping, I recommend printing on a Cool Plate SuperTack. Alternatively, you can print on a Smooth PEI Plate using Liquid Glue.
Exception for the Clamshell + Sasquatch Tokens, which are better printed on a Smooth PEI Plate.
The default Trail Card Trays have their openings on the side. If you prefer the opening at the front side, skip the trays on the main profile and then print the ones available in the separate profile provided.
Thank you! Enjoy!
