Big bench. Bigger ambitions. Even at 1:18. š ļøš§°
š§© This extended 60x180 cm workbench model is designed to be the centerpiece of your scaled garage or diorama.
With working drawers and a tool wall (this should be printed with 0.2 nozzel, tool wall) that mounts to the rear edge, this setup brings both realism and usability into miniature scale.
Pairs beautifully with my other garage items like the Car Ramp, Tire Rack, and Pallet Jack.
š¢ Fully printable in 1:10 and 1:18, and yesāthe drawers work in both!
The tool wall is optional but adds a lot of detail, and even includes holes that can be drilled or marked to simulate tool pegs.
While the bench prints flat and clean, some assembly is requiredābut nothing too tricky.
Ā
š§ Functionality & Printing Tips
ā Functional drawers with smooth slide-out fit
ā Rear-mounted tool wall gives it that true workshop vibeĀ (this should be printed with 0.2 nozzel)
ā Prints best flat on a smooth plate
ā Supports not needed, unless scaling very small
ā PLA preferred, but PETG/ASA will work too with proper tuning
ā Legs must be glued, and filament bits used for guiding and alignment
š ļø Note: Even if the model worked perfectly on my end and looks flawless in the photosāremember, this is 3D printing š
Printers, settings, and materials vary, so a bit of post-processing might be needed.
Holes might come out slightly undersized, so keep a small drill bit on hand for cleanup.
Light sanding, trimming, or gluing is often just part of the process.
š¦ Build Notes šŖ
ā Assembly required for legs and back wall
ā Tool wall slots into the rear of the bench
