M-Laser-Project (3D Printing + Laser Cut) @mpoxDE
Print Profile(1)

Description
While commercially available blue diode lasers with a wavelength of 455nm exhibit limited efficacy in engraving 3D-printed plastics, they readily lend themselves to synergistic applications with materials such as wood, acrylic, and leather.
To illustrate this principle, I collaborated with designer @MeisterEdel on this exemplary project.
My rendition incorporates 3mm wood for the facade panels and 3mm acrylic for the triangular insets.
This design encourages creative exploration through material diversification. For instance, the prominent “M” was magnified to 200% of its original size, utilizing two layers of wood and four acrylic components. However, it is crucial to acknowledge that scaling may not uniformly affect tolerances.
This model may serve as inspiration for your own innovative creations. Enjoy!
