Description

Candy Dispenser For Bambu Spool Cores

Bought too much candy? Used too much filament? Don't have a jar? Repurpose the core of a Bambu Labs filament spool for an intuitive, functional dispenser for candy, snacks, or gum!

FEATURES

  • Modular, Stackable Reusable Spool Cores

Have a lot of candy or a lot of spools? Print the Spool Connector to stack them! Trying to dispense larger pieces? Print the Wide Piece Spinner!

  • Multiple Sizes

Print profiles for multiple sized candies! M&Ms, Skittles, etc. can be used with the small dispenser. Large candies (Mentos, gumballs, etc.) should fit with the larger set!

  • Clicky Feedback

Spinning piece which press-fits to the Bambu Labs spool has a satisfying click when spun clockwise, but rotates in either direction

  • Open Ecosystem

While I am working on adding support for third party spools, I have made this model open to remixing so you can add your own spools, or even fully printed enclosures if you're just getting started!

Perfect for families, office spaces, classrooms, or anywhere where people love to snack!

EPIC FAIL. The spinner does not move. When putting in the spool it broke. The spool was from Bambu filament. 7 hours later I have broken piece of junk. Do Not Try!

I don’t know if this happened to anyone else, but when I printed the spinning piece, the circle in the middle fell off and didn’t seem like it was attached to the rest. it might be because I printed the larger candies one because it seems like the smaller one doesn’t have this

Could you send me a picture? Happy to fix the model if something is causing this :)

I think it is because on the large model, the 4 "arms" are separated from the central circle. This causes the central circle to be floating instead of being able to bridge across the arms.

does Mentos fit?

The current print profiles have a top hole of 20mm - which is the exact size of a Mentos so I doubt it. Printing a larger hole print profile now and will reply to your comment once it's ready for you to print :)

I would like to find someone who, while eating skittles, saw this, printed it, then used the exact right amount of filament to print this, then use that spool to make this, then puts his/her last red skittle in there.

Just what I want - a cardboard spool from China with who knows what sort of germs are on/in it. Classy...I just recycle mine.

what size does the spool have to be?

I'm pretty sure that the spools are all the same size.. But if I'm wrong then I assume one from bambu lab would work fine.

I don't have a cardboard spool core. Can you add a 3D model that I can use instead of a cardboard spool core?

This is great. But when we printed it with my daughter the spool core is the same size as the base. How can we modify the model so that it can fit our spools? We use a generic PLA. Thanks
