Description

This is a simple and configurable rack to hold your brass instrument mouthpieces on the wall.  I needed something to get them all out of boxes and up on the wall in my practice closet where I could actually use them.

A plastic wall plate is included, that you can mount to the wall with a couple of picture hanging nails.  I recommend holding it in place and pre-drilling the holes before you drive in the nail, as otherwise it will be very difficult to keep the nails from walking the plate down the wall.

Each plate is 200mm long, use as many as you want to make a whole wall of storage!  The accessories hang off the top rail, and then push to click into place on the bottom rail.  They will not fall off the rail, but are slidable side to side (depending on how straight you mounted those plates!)

There are 3 different mouthpiece holders that clip onto the plastic plate:

  • Type 1: Standard Trumpet Mouthpieces.  This has a 12mm diameter, 40mm deep hole that is suitable for all standard mouthpieces (bach, yamaha, marcinkiewicz, etc).  Any mouthpiece with a standard/small sized head.
  • Type 2: Deep Cup Mouthpieces.  This has a 12mm diameter, 18mm deep hole.  This is suitable for any of your mouthpieces with those insane head sizes or boosters.  I have my GR, Bach Megatone, and Harrelson mouthpieces in these.  I also put my french shank flugelhorn mouthpieces in this one.
  • Type 3: Cornet Mouthpieces.  This has an 11mm diameter, 30mm deep hole.  Every cornet mouthpiece I have has fit in this size.

Additionally there are 2 small shelves available.  The first is a basic shelf, 100mm wide.  The second is designed to hold your configurable mouthpiece parts - in mine I have 2 extra shanks and 4 extra throats, along with an extra body on the shelf.
