I designed and 3D printed a cable management system for my home office desk.

All parts are 3D printed, but assembly is required.

Included are a base plate, a mounting plate that can be screwed (4mm diameter) or glued to the underside of the desk, 28 chain links, and 29 mounting pins. When the plates and all chain links are assembled, a total length of approximately 85cm is achieved. This should fit most standard desks.

The chain links are available in three versions – fixed, medium, and maximum – the difference being the degree of movement possible between the individual links; the fixed version has only about 1mm of play. (See also example photos)

I use the medium variant myself.

With the main print profile for P1/X1, the base plates and one of the cable guide plates must be printed for the 85cm length.

Another print profile for the A1 Mini is also available → Here, the print plate with the desired chain link variant must be printed twice.

Assembly instructions:

As shown in the last image of the model, the pin must be inserted on the right side (viewing the cable opening from the front) and thus connected to the chain link below. The hole on the right side is slightly larger.

Then press the pin in with some pressure. The hole on the left side is slightly smaller and thus holds the pin securely.

For disassembly, press the pin back on the left side with a screwdriver, for example, and remove it from the right.

A version for use with a height-adjustable desk is also planned.
