Description

I have a very deep 22 inch pantry and created this can dispenser to store and rotate my canned food.

I have also added at 16 inch deep version of this model to the project for people with shallower cabinets.

The can dispensers can handle larger 18.5 oz cans as well as normal sized cans.

How do you get something like this to print without supports? That's a lot of unsupported bridges. Maybe I'm hesitant because I'm running an Ender3 but I can't imagine being able to print this without supports.

I just printed it and it worked. I've since printed more and figured resizing scale for tuna cans is 40.74% x 100% x 100% and the same process no support and here in this photo here is the orientation of the parts as printed

Did you get the tuna can design to print? I'd take a copy of that file!

There is no profile, you will have to slice it yourself. But the model is in the files now.

Great Model @user_2139429726 ! Hope you don't mind, I just posted a remix, with full credit given to you. The remix contains an alternate front plate with a higher "can stop" to help keep the cans in place. https://makerworld.com/en/models/2036554-deep-can-food-dispenser-rack-22-inch#profileId-2196749 I've printed 2 of these, they are excellent. Some notes from printing. I've printed both with the original settings and some tweaks. Plate 1 - .12mm layer height is required on plate 1 to avoid support. Plate 2,3 - I printed with .28mm 10% Infill Gyroid. On my P1S, these settings reduced the printing time from 1d 5h down to 10h. I wanted to reduce time but still avoid support, so I just incrementally bumped the layer height up and sliced until the slicer said support was required. Then backed off to the height right before support was required. Thanks again @user_2139429726 GREAT MODEL!

No problem on the remix, the first can or two does tend to jump the ramp at the end if you don't stop it. I left it so small for the extra big cans, otherwise there isn't room for your hand to take them out.

Please Help Me Figure This Out! I keep having issues while trying to print the middle and back section. the first (front) section I printed was perfect but as you can see the others keep failing. can someone please help me figure this out? I’m not changing any settings in the file, I’m printing with a Bambu A1. I’m also still learning at this.

Looks like something is wrong with your printer, wash your build plate and check your nozzle fot buildup. Make sure your filament type is the same as you selected when slicing the model. I would test with something smaller until you get it fixed.

Each part takes some time to print, but the reward is worth it. Will print again, just not in the same week.

I absolutely love this model and I'm planning on printing quite a few more, I also want to print some for a friend of mine but her shelves are only 18 in deep, what is the best way to resize it?

I have used this model at least six times for our pantry and it works great. Now, I just need to find something as good as this in some other sizes! Thanks for the great model.

I'm glad you are enjoying the model! I also have one for very small cans. What size are your cans? I might be able to modify one of the designs to fit them.

I forgot to add photos to my last comment. I did add a larger lip to the bottom end of the rack as I did have cans gaining so much speed or pressure that it would roll over the lip onto the floor. I made the lip such that it could also hold a label if desired. I have some tomato paste cans that are 3in tall and nearly 3in in diameter. I printed your smaller can organizer but it was just a tad too small for those cans. My biggest need is for some larger cans that come in at 90mm height and a 105mm diameter. I was going to try to remix your model for those, but it would push them off the max size of my Bambu Lab P1S build plate :/. I love your work. Thanks again...I looked for a long time for just the right solution.

Hi, my cabinet is quite a bit smaller than yours. It's only 32 cm deep. Do you have a model that might work for me? My cans are 75 mm in diameter and 83 mm high. It would be great to be able to sort things out! Thanks!
