Description

This custom-designed enclosure is built specifically for the PIR 8 motion sensor, offering both protection and flexibility. It features a smooth ball joint connection that allows for easy angle adjustment, letting you fine-tune the sensor’s position for optimal coverage. The enclosure connects to a modular stand, available in three variants: a straight 65mm stand, a compact 35mm version, and a 65mm stand with a 60-degree tilt — perfect for mounting on angled surfaces or walls. Ideal for smart home automation, DIY security systems, or any motion-triggered setup where precision and adaptability matter.

How to Assemble

Step 1

To begin disassemble the existing PIR 8 sensor, some of the original parts will be re-used.

Step 2

Insert the dome into the hole, this has been deliberately designed to be a snug fit, if using outside you may want to add a little glue or silicone to help waterproof the enclosure.

Step 3

Feed the wire through the hole in the enclosure base.

Step 4

Wire up the sensor, making a not on wire colors used.

Step 5

Insert the PCB into the enclosure, please note the support arms are a little fragile, so please be gentle.

Step 6

Using the existing screws, attach the base plate, DO NOT overtighten as this could break the supporting arms.

Step 7

Place the nut over the stand, insert the stand into the ball joint and tighten the nut gently ensuring the device is at the desired angle

This model is part of my 12v System collection.

Hope you enjoy :-)
