Description

Tanfoglio Raised Front Sight for DeltaPoint Pro

What is this?

This is a replacement front sight for Tanfoglio pistols using the dovetail pushed in from the muzzle and secured with the set screw. It's 12mm tall, allowing for the use it with a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro with the integrated rear sight. This gives a "lower ⅓" co-witness with the DeltaPoint and the mounting plate shown in the pictures (no idea which manufacturer that is from).

The set screw is screwed directly into the printed part. No tapping of threads is required.

The top of the V2 front sight is tapered to a narrower point than the base, to allow for some clearance between the sides of the rear sight and the front sight. The V1 uses a straight profile, if you prefer that (both are included in the 3MF with three different taper angles for the V2).

How to print?

I used eSun ePA-CF. So far it has held up well during live fire. Feel free to experiment with other materials, if you don't have PA-CF available.

The model is scaled to 105%, as that gave the best fit in the dovetail on the one sample gun that I worked with. It can be pushed in by hand with just a bit of resistance and has zero play. Depending on your material, printer and dovetail, you might need to adjust the scaling to get a good fit.

I have also included the Fusion360 project file, in case you want to customize this to your need (e.g. different height for different optics).

Thanks for checking out my designs. If this has been useful to you, I'd appreciate a like or comment. If you are having any issues, please let me know in the comments as well and I can try to help you address them.
