Boost Me (for free)

If you like this model, please consider giving it a boost! It helps encourage me to continue supporting the community, and helps others find this design!

I remixed this pull out spice rack: https://makerworld.com/en/models/413304-spice-rack-pullout-wide-and-3in1-remix#profileId-315301

At the request of folks, I have added an additional print profile with more size variations.  The newly added sizes (including some shorter, some wider, and single wide option) detailed at the end.

Changes I made in this remix include filling in the bottoms of the trays, so that smaller bottles don't fall through, as well as adding a bit of a “hip” to one of the slide outs, as well as taller, so that wider bottles can fit (plate 8).  Additionally, I made a smaller upper part, to sit above the taller slide out, to fill the space (plate 7).  This works well for little spice bottles.  See the slide out on the far left.  Included a picture of what this “hip” looks like from a side profile.  Still functions well, and makes use of some of the dead space created by the cabinet hinge.

Mounting instructions are same as the original model:

Up to 12 flat head screws. 4 x 16 mm spax worked for me.

3 x Book Binding posts - M5 x 15 mm.

6 x Fender Washers 3/16 in. x 1 in. (honestly I just took some slightly similar I had left in stock)

Loctite or other threadlock to keep the screws from loosening. I didn't have any on hand, but I did have nail polish which worked just as well.

UPDATE: another user created this 3d printed model - I didn't try it, but you may find it handy vs buying the parts: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2174322-nut-and-bolt-for-spice-rack

Personally I mounted mine with double-sided tape, and haven't had any issues!  Included a picture of the spices loaded in my rack to give an idea of what sizes fit.

UPDATES:

4/25/2025 - Added Assembly Guide PDF

5/5/2025 - I had various family members ask me to make a spice rack for them as well, with different tweaks.  One wanted shorter shelf options for smaller medicine bottles, others wanted the “tall” version stacked 2 high.  I've included a new print profile with these adjustments.  Check out the profile listed as “Additional  Heights and Widths”.  I did remove the accent stripe on these, however feel free to paint it back on if that's to your liking.  Also, I did some cleanup on the earlier wider model on plate 8.

5/13/2025 - Cleaned up leftover artifacts to make print more efficient

12/27/2025 - Added information regarding the shelf and bin that I have next to the spice rack in the pictures.

12/30/2025 - Added a link to a 3d printed nut and bolt option created by another user for use with this print.

1/2/2026 - Added a print profile that adds the orange accent stripe to the “Additional Heights and Widths” option.

1/9/2026 - Updated the original print profile as the Flush value somehow got lost, and Supports were missing from two of the plates.

Quick summary of the newly added plates:

Plates 9 and 10 are half the height of the new tall version - you can see the example picture I included with medicine bottles, the shorter center row is the half height versions

Plates 11 and 12 are the tall version, but without the added width.  These are if you want to put talls in the center of the 3-in-1 plate (you can see this used in the double high version I included a picture of)

Plate 13 is the tall and wide version I started with, but set up to be an upper instead of lower, again for the double high option.

Plate 14 is for a single spice shelf, in case you don't want 3 on one plate, or maybe you wanted to add a fourth or fifth

Plate 15 is double wide and tall.  Only usable on a single wide base (plate 14)

Since it's become a popular question - the SHELF and BIN next to the spice rack in the pictures:

The shelf you see in the picture was made using this parametric model: https://makerworld.com/en/models/842744-custom-shelf-fully-customizable-desk-shelf?from=search#profileId-789300  I did not share the print profile for this as it's very much modeled to fit my cabinet with very specific cutouts that would probably be very strange in any other cabinet.  However it's a great parametric, so I recommend measuring your space and creating one that fits your needs.  My findings long term with the shelf is, it may be worthwhile to increase walls and infill for it.  After several months of heavy sauce jars, the PLA is starting to sag.  Hopefully more walls and infill will yield better long term results. :)

For the bin, I just quickly created those in Bambu Studio.  Determine the size you need, add a Cube primitive, and then add a negative cube inside it.  Nothing too fancy with that one.
