Displate Mount

Introduction

My Displate fell off the wall using their stock mounting solution. I still had the magnet included with the plate, but I didn't have a good way to secure it against my textured wall.

I included holes where the magnet sits if you want to try mounting it with a single nail / screw “covered”.

This is the first time I've gone from concept to printed, and it was a super special feeling. Hope this helps someone else!

Installation

1. Mount the magnet into the recessed area of the plate
2. Nail the mounting plate onto the wall
3. Mount your Displate to the magnet

Depending on how heavy your Displate is, you might want to use more than the 2 nails I used in the picture.

To reduce the number of holes you'll need to place into your wall, you can try turning the plate 45° (so it looks like a diamond), and use a single hole. (I have not tested this, just a thought).
