Description

This is my first design.  I wanted to recreate a method to perform the tee drill on my putting mat at home.   I think the V2 will better suit most people.  The putting gate is 120mm which should fit most putters.  The putter pictured is about 106mm.  The ball gate is 50mm and normal golf balls are around 46mm.  Design could be easily adapted with smaller gates if you are looking for more of a challenge.  Cheers!

Came out great. Easy and fast print!

Have you thought about adding on the stimp/alignment tool to ensure the ball is aimed straight? just so you know the ball is headed for the hole in a straight putt.

Do you mean narrowing the channel so that when you elevate the gate it could potentially give you a stimp reading? Happy add it but I’ll need to do some research about stimp measurements. For alignment, I was using the line behind the ball with the ball marking I drew on the ball. I guess if we could roll the ball off of the gate it would give a true straight line from the gate.

Basically the ball alignment tool makes a perfect channel for the ball to roll through to ensure the ball will make it to the hole no matter how you hit in. Then you know it’s aimed properly at the hole and then you can put your tees in to keep the putting aid from moving.

@andrew.ta I made a prototype for you with alignment rails. I have to do a little fine tuning to make it more stable but I think it will work.

Can you update the model to make the gates more challenging? I've tried to download the STL files to make the changes myself, but it appears that all files are 3MF. Thanks, really excited for this.

Which gate do you want to be more challenging? If you are hitting these ones consistently you need to get out on the green! I added my fusion 360 .f3d files. Let me know if that works for you.

I want the gates at the end where the ball goes through larger (tighter dispersion) to make it more challenging. Thanks!

too thin to really use, especially with a putting mat indoors

Can you elaborate how the thickness is affecting your putting? What do you think the ideal thickness should be? You want the base to be thin so it doesn’t affect your stoke.
