Here I have created a lightbox of the German club “Dynamo Dresden”. I made this lightbox for a colleague and thought I might as well upload it.

Very easy to print, simple filament is sufficient. I printed the yellow in gold, I thought it looked better.

It is a good model I also only had gold instead of yellow on hand and found in my test print that gold, unlike yellow, barely allows light to shine through I therefore continued printing with white from the 3rd layer so that more light shines through It works much better this way I'll see if I might upload this "gold-optimized" profile at some point Well-made model that prints super easily I got and installed 0.5m of LED (eBay link in the comments) That is a bit too short to be run completely along the outside If I were to order again, I would take 1m, also so that it gets even brighter

Did you recolor the white on the inside of the front in Bambu Studio? I'm too stupid for something like that. I would like to make the innermost 1-2 layers completely white to get a closed support surface for the colors. Other colorful lightboxes often have the problem that the color surfaces break very quickly at the color transitions, even with the slightest load

Yes, that's generally possible if you need it. Select all parts of the interior (meaning everything except the frame), then use the bucket tool (N). Here you can use "Height range" as the tool type to color the desired layers in the same color. The result will be a solid surface in the thickness and color you want. Good luck! You can then simply color the colored edge back.

Just a question: In my slicer, it now wants to print 6 layers at 0.2mm. Isn't that too much for light to shine through

Yes that is correct, you will then get a thickness of 1.4mm for the front plate and that is optimal! :D
