Based on V1 feedback, I've created a refined, improved spill-proof design. Your support for my work would be greatly appreciated!

This is version 2 of the highly popular container I previously uploaded. A novel sliding mechanism ensures a spill-proof design, preventing silica beads from accidentally scattering within the AMS during lifting.

This minimalist silica gel container provides a bespoke solution for humidity control in Bambu Lab AMS 2 Pro and AMS Classic systems. It keeps your filament dry, preventing moisture absorption that leads to printing problems such as blistering or poor adhesion. The minimalist design ensures an elegant aesthetic.

✅ Bespoke design for AMS 2 Pro

✅ Prints quickly

✅ Suitable for round hygrometers

Easy to fill with silica gel (reusable)

Improved filament storage through consistent moisture absorption

Durable & efficient – ideal for hygroscopic materials like PETG & PLA

Printing with PETG or a higher-quality material is recommended to withstand the AMS temperatures of up to 65 degrees Celsius. However, it is advisable to use this only in inactive mode, for example, when not printing for extended periods.

Perfect for those seeking to maximize print quality and ensure long-term filament protection! 💨🎯

Hey, I've printed these now so can give you some feedback... Let’s start with the negatives: The new lip at the bottom of the container, which is designed to prevent it from opening when pulled upwards, sticks out slightly beyond the main body. Because of this, the smaller side containers no longer fit in the AMS. While the larger ones still fit in the AMS, the smaller ones are now incompatible due to the increased height. Suggestion: If the lip is going to remain part of the design, consider reducing the height of the smaller side containers to compensate for it—by the size of the lip plus around and additional 0.2mm. That should make everything fit nicely. Now for the positives: These print incredibly well and fast. I’ve tried other designs with similar venting behind the hygrometer, and they don’t come out nearly as clean. There’s something about your design that just works, even when printing in ABS with ABS support filament. The result is a really smooth and high-quality finish, which I haven’t been able to get with other pod designs. The sliding catch is spot-on too. It has just the right amount of resistance—firm enough that it doesn’t open on its own or rattle, but still easy to close. Compared to other designs I’ve printed, which tend to have too much play, this feels solid and well thought-out. Final thoughts: If you adjust the height of the smaller side containers as mentioned, this could be a near-perfect design. Great work so far!

I’ve had an idea—rather than shrinking the container to make room for the lid’s lip that sticks out underneath, why not keep the container the same size and just add a small groove or notch on the sides? That way, the lid’s lip can slide into the notch and sit flush with the bottom, without needing to change the container’s overall size. You’re basically just making a little slot for the lid to fit into.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience! To rectify the issue swiftly and prevent others from encountering similar errors, I have quickly adjusted the small container before work. Firstly, I reduced the lip by a few millimeters and rounded it to match the main design. I greatly appreciate this feedback; it is incredibly helpful to me as a novice. Thank you so much!

Ahh glad you understood me on how to resolve it… when you get time you might want to just tidy that up so it’s flush with the edges and do the same to the larger ones… other than that it’s perfect :) thank you also for your time putting into this.

Why are you adding an additional hydrometer for it? As far as I know, the AMS 2 Pro already includes one. Anyway, thanks for this

I thought the same but afterwards found convenient to be able to check on the value even when the printer and AMS were powered off :-)

Same thought here, so I just deleted the middle part and printing one more of the other since it's the same size.

Any idea why I have this part printed weird? All the others were fine. I tried 2nd time, same result. Printed with PLA (bambulab)

Is this the same design? Why are the slots on yours angled but this design and everyone elses pics show straight horizontal slots?

Good design, easy to fill. I don't have hygrometer for the moment, so I printed 3 big containers. Humidity fell instantly to value 1 on the X1 monitoring. Maybe could you add a container for the back of the AMS2 ?
