Description

Those who have plastic T-style door catches on their RV have more than likely broken the arm at least once.  I purchased and replaced my RV's main door catch and proceeded to break the arm on the next trip out. I designed the arms to be thicker than the original to make them stronger and less likely to break. Since installing, I've yet to break one.  I carry extra printed parts in my RV just in case one does break.

These models provide the necessary parts to repair an RV (Caravan) T-Style Door Catch. The kit is complete for a new install or complete change over of an existing install or simple repair. Since the arms are thicker than the originals, they may not work with your hinge and catch parts so I've included those parts as well.  These could also be used for more than RV's such as a shed door or cargo trailer door. I've included various industry-standard arm lengths. If you need a different length then the ones I've provided, leave me a message and I'll try to accommodate.

I printed the arms with both PLA and PTEG. PTEG is probably a better choice as it's stronger and more flexible and will hold up better to the outdoor environmental elements. I'm sure other filament types will also work.

6/3/2026: I had a Latch Hinge break on our last camping trip caused by weak layer-to-layer adhesion. I strengthened the design to decrease the possibility of breakage.
